Slider integral blind control system
The manual S System from ScreenLine comprises a 14mm pleated blind integrated within a double-glazed unit with a 20mm cavity. The blind movement is facilitated using a magnetic device, consisting of a removable handle centrally positioned on the outer surface of the internal glass. This interacts with a corresponding internal magnet located in the moveable rail, ensuring smooth and precise operation.
The interface between the external and internal magnets absorbs possible glass imperfections, while a narrow adhesive transparent profile ensures linear slider movement. The blinds can be raised and lowered by moving the slider up or down. What’s more, the blinds can be adjusted to any inclination, making this system highly versatile for various architectural applications, including attics, dormers, and skylights.
The blinds can function at any inclination from 0 degrees (horizontal) to 90 degrees (vertical) and can move in all directions—from right to left, top to bottom, and vice versa.
Enhanced Shading and Energy Efficiency
This premium system is an excellent solution for managing light and thermal conditions in attic or slope-roof environments. It provides a durable and efficient shading option for roof windows, regardless of their angle.
The use of Verosol pleated blind fabrics, featuring an aluminum coating on one side, minimizes solar heat gain and improves the U-value, making it particularly suitable for India’s warm climate. This ensures a cooler indoor environment while regulating the amount of natural light entering the room. Special “L”-shaped side guides prevent light leakage along the blind edges, while “U”-shaped spacer bars further enhance the system’s insulation and functionality.
Modular and Durable Design
The S System is highly modular and can be installed within a 20mm cavity. The integrated unit fits seamlessly into window frames just like standard insulating glass. It is also possible to install two blinds within the same unit, providing exceptional flexibility without compromising the integrity of the double-glazing’s seal or insulating properties. This sealed unit ensures protection from dirt and extreme weather conditions, enhancing the product’s longevity and suitability for India’s varied climates.
